Job Description

Human Capital Education (HCE) enables colleges and universities to grow with purpose by providing the systems, expertise, data, and strategy needed to attract, enroll, and support students more effectively and efficiently. HCE works across undergraduate, graduate, online, and adult programs, helping institutions translate strategy into actionable insights that deliver sustainable results.

In January 2026, Human Capital Education acquired Kennedy & Company Education Strategies, bringing together complementary organizations with a shared commitment to helping institutions navigate change, strengthen performance, and achieve long-term sustainability. Together, HCE and Kennedy & Company now serve more than 300 colleges and universities nationwide, offering integrated strategic enablement services that span research, enrollment management, financial analysis, institutional strategy, and technology implementation.

Role Overview:

We are seeking a Finance Manager to partner closely with executive leadership and play a critical role in scaling HCE's financial operations post-acquisition. This role will report to the CFO and serve as a strategic thought partner across forecasting, budgeting, financial planning, performance management, and investment decision-making. The Finance Manager will own key financial models, lead planning cycles, and help evolve financial processes as the organization grows

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and enhance company-wide financial models supporting forecasting, annual budgeting, long-range planning, and scenario analysis.
  • Lead the monthly forecasting and variance analysis process, identifying risks and opportunities versus plan.
  • Analyze financial statements, operating metrics, and KPIs to deliver actionable insights for leadership.
  • Serve as a trusted finance partner to executive leadership and functional leaders across the organization.
  • Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial materials for executive leadership, investors, and the Board of Directors.
  • Support strategic initiatives including pricing strategy, organic growth investments, and M&A analysis.
  • Partner with the University Partnerships team to build pricing, deal economics, and profitability models for new and existing clients.
  • Conduct scenario analysis, financial simulations, and sensitivity analyses to evaluate business opportunities and risks.
  • Identify and implement improvements to financial processes, reporting, and systems to support scalability and accuracy.
  • Support NetSuite reporting, planning, and data integrity (experience preferred but not required).
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior finance team members as the team scales.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (MBA or CPA a plus)
  • 5+ years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, investment banking, private equity, or consulting with demonstrated progression in responsibility.
  • Proven experience owning forecasting, budgeting, and financial modeling processes.
  • Experience preparing and presenting materials to executive leadership, investors, and Boards of Directors.
  • Strong financial modeling and Excel expertise.
  • Experience with M&A analysis and strategic investment evaluation strongly preferred.
  • Experience with NetSuite or comparable ERP systems is a plus.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize effectively under deadlines.
  • Clear, confident communicator with strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Self-starter with strong business judgment, curiosity, and ownership mindset.

Why Join Us?

  • Build the foundation - play a central role in shaping how HCE scales revenue post-acquisition.
  • Work directly with leadership - partner closely with the CFO, CRO and executive team.
  • Make an impact - your work supports more than 300 colleges and universities nationwide.
  • Grow with the company - clear opportunity for expanded scope and leadership.
  • Flexible work environment - remote-friendly culture grounded in trust and accountability.

Salary: $130,000-$160,000
