Position Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated Certified Medical Assistant (Bilingual English/Spanish) to join our Pediatrics Division at El Nuevo San Juan (ENSJ).  

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma required. 
• Medical Assistant Certificate or completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program required. 
• 0-2 years of related experience in the healthcare sector. 
• Bilingual English/Spanish is required.
• Flexible work schedule
• Proficiency with computers and software.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and thrive in a high-volume environment.
• Kindness, compassion, and patient-centered work ethic.

Key Duties:

• Prepares examination rooms, stocks inventory, and prepares patient for providers.
• Engages in patient template management.
• Obtains vital signs, chief complaint, and medical history and accurately records in medical records.
• Assists providers during all aspects of exams, treatments, and ambulatory procedures 
• Registers and verifies patient demographics. Provides front-desk support as needed.
• Maintains room logs.
• Prepares pediatrics forms for provider completion. 
• Schedules appointments and recalls patients for required services.

Starting Compensation: Minimum: $23.00/hour ; Maximum: $23.00/hour

Work Environment Type, Location, and Schedule:

Onsite in the Bronx, NY. Monday through Friday 9am-6pm with alternating Saturday shifts with a day off during the week.
