A well-established international school in Guangzhou is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Primary Physical Education Teacher to join its teaching team from August 2026
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified P.E. specialist who is passionate about promoting physical wellbeing, confidence, teamwork, and healthy habits among primary-aged learners. The successful candidate will work within an inquiry-based IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) environment and collaborate closely with colleagues across the wider school community.

Key Responsibilities
Deliver engaging, age-appropriate Physical Education lessons for primary-aged students
Use inquiry-based teaching strategies to encourage curiosity, confidence, and student agency
Promote physical wellbeing, teamwork, resilience, and positive lifelong habits
Plan differentiated learning experiences that meet the needs of individual learners
Use assessment effectively to monitor progress and improve teaching outcomes
Integrate digital tools and appropriate teaching resources where relevant
Contribute to the development and refinement of the P.E. curriculum
Participate in collaborative planning with subject and grade-level teams
Support transdisciplinary learning within the IB PYP framework
Create a safe, inclusive, caring, and dynamic learning environment
Communicate effectively with parents and colleagues
Contribute to clubs, co-curricular activities, school events, field trips, and seasonal programmes
Requirements
Minimum 3 years of full-time teaching experience
Strong understanding of primary-aged learners and their physical development
Passion for education, sport, and student wellbeing
Ability to work collaboratively within an international teaching team
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
International-mindedness and intercultural awareness
Commitment to safeguarding and child protection
Willingness to contribute to the wider academic and co-curricular life of the school
Qualifications
Native English speaker only
Bachelor’s degree or above in Physical Education, Education, Sports Science, or a closely related field
Recognised teaching qualification, such as **BEd, PGCE, QTS**, or equivalent teaching license
Evidence of continuous professional development
Previous **IB PYP** experience preferred
Previous overseas or international school teaching experience preferred
Strong spoken and written English
Confident using digital tools to support teaching and learning
