This is not a requisition filling role. It is an opportunity to design, build, and lead how we hire as a company. As Talent Acquisition Manager, you will partner directly with the VP of HR & Talent and senior leadership to shape how Benchmark attracts, evaluates, and secures talent across the business. From Project Managers and field leadership to corporate functions, you will influence not only who we hire, but how we compete for talent in the market.

What you'll own
· Design and drive a full-cycle recruiting strategy across field and corporate functions such as construction PMs, APMs, foremen, technicians, and beyond
· Serve as a trusted advisor to field operations and leadership, shaping hiring decisions with real market intelligence
· Build proactive talent pipelines using LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, referrals, trade schools, associations, and local networks
· Champion a best-in-class candidate experience from first touch to onboarding
· Own recruiting analytics like time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, source effectiveness and use data to continuously sharpen the function
· Manage and optimize the ATS, ensure EEO/OFCCP compliance, and maintain airtight documentation
· Lead and mentor recruiters TA specialists as team continues to scale
· Partner with leadership to strengthen Benchmark's employer brand in the construction and utility market
What we're looking for
· 6+ years of progressive talent acquisition experience, with deep expertise recruiting in construction, utilities, infrastructure, or closely related industries
· Bachelor’s degree in relevant field, or equivalent
· Proven success critical roles like Project Managers, APMs and corporate functions
· A builder's mindset: you've created or scaled recruiting infrastructure in a growing company
· Data fluency! You track what matters and use it to make better decisions
· Fluency in English and Spanish (written and verbal) strongly preferred
· Comfort operating independently in a remote environment while staying deeply connected to and leading a distributed team
Bonus points
· HR certification (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR)
· Experience with workforce planning and talent analytics
· Familiarity with hyper scaling environments with prevailing wage workforces
About the work arrangement
While local residency and networks are preferred, this role can be fully remote, with the expectation of traveling to our headquarters in Sterling VA approximately 20% of the time. Those visits matter because they're how you'll deepen relationships with leadership, connect with hiring managers, and stay close to the operational heartbeat of the business. We'll support you in making those trips productive and worthwhile.
