Tax Preparer Level 2

Guardian Tax | Irvine, CA (On-Site Position)
Active CTEC & PTIN Required | Business Return Experience Mandatory

Guardian Tax is currently hiring an experienced Tax Preparer with a strong background in both individual and business tax filings. This is a full-time, year-round opportunity for someone who is confident handling complex returns, amendments, and business entities in a fast-paced professional environment.

We are seeking a dependable and detail-focused tax professional who takes pride in accuracy, compliance, and client service.

Responsibilities

• Prepare individual income tax returns including W-2, 1099, Schedule C, and itemized filings
• Complete amended tax returns and corrections (1040X)
• Prepare and review business tax returns, including:
  • S-Corporations (1120S)
  • C-Corporations (1120)
  • Partnerships (1065)
• Analyze financial documentation to ensure accurate reporting and compliance
• Communicate with clients regarding required documents, filings, and tax-related questions
• Collaborate with internal departments to support efficient case completion

Required Qualifications

• Active California CTEC Registration
• Valid PTIN
• Minimum of 2 years preparing business tax returns
• Strong understanding of federal and California tax regulations
• Experience with amended returns and complex tax situations
• Ability to work effectively in a deadline-driven environment
• High level of professionalism and attention to detail
