Job Description

Position Summary: The Warehouse Shipping & Receiving Clerk is responsible for performing all tasks associated with receiving, stocking, issuing, shipping, returning and delivering products while maintaining a central focus on personal and product safety. The Warehouse Shipping & Receiving Clerk will operate with the principles of customer service, teamwork and cooperation with all company and non-company personnel.

Essential Functions:

• Receives goods and verifies the quality and count of all items loaded/unloaded from trucks and trailers; confirms packing slip against purchase order to ensure accuracy and completeness of received materials.
• Research and resolve discrepancies between actual product and associated documentation.
• Respond to internal and external requests for information regarding receiving/shipping data or issues.
• Ensure that customer orders are updated and that appropriate billing documents are provided to accounting or other associated departments as required.
• Assist in the packaging of courier shipments for outgoing material to job site locations via Fed Ex, UPS, etc.
• Assist in the packaging/crating of large shipments via motor freight/dedicated trucks.
• Assist in the receiving and returning surplus material from job site locations.
• Track shipments to ensure materials/equipment arrive at job site locations in timely manner.
• Operates lift trucks or hand trucks to move materials to proper departments or areas. Ability to operate a forklift is a plus.

Required Skills/Abilities :

• Basic understanding of warehouse procedures.
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and/or inventory software to maintain records, input data, and create reports.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 2+ years’ experience in a warehouse environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Customer service driven.
• Strong team player.
